I like it that the whole production is postmodern (whatever that means!) and genre-bending. You’ve done some very creepy things with my voice, too, annabloom. Now I know what I’ll sound like in thirty years…
The mark of a really good piece is being able to listen to it dozens of times & hear something new each time – I reckon this is one of those! |

thanks
Quote: robwalkerpoet postmodern (whatever that means!) a funny word indeed. modern can be defines as “of, relating to, or characteristic of a period extending from a relevant remote past to the present time”, post = later, after, subsequent, which in combination with ‘modern’ wold mean ‘in the future’ (after the present). a lazy word. |

Very cool concept. It’s like a sonic representation of Rob’s excellent poem. Great idea and execution.

Accompaniment for meditation on thought.

Meticulous distortions, sounds a little like a discriminating use of Reaktor or something. I’ll have to try subtlety in one of my tracks. And good title, evokes something about iconoclasm.

not in this one - 2 instances of battery with different drum patches, both filtered through guitar rig (an early draft had kontakt in it but that was dropped), samples filtered through instances of the rather useful TB Module |

Interesting, that must be the one VST I don’t already own, sounds like a cross between AUM Reverb2 and Waves Enigma, thanks for the tip

In my opinion your production is not postmodern (according to definition of this term) but it’s really interesting and exciting. Surreal/suspense/plaintive mood. Impressive. Clever use of effects.

thanks.
i don’t really know a canonical definition of postmodernism. just checked on wikipedia (it’s not all bad what you find there) and it seems that philosophically it made an appearance around the same time as quantum mechanics with its principle of uncertainty. now, there may be a research topic. |
