Interesting combination of whimsy and dire seriousness. Like, we’re screwed, oh well, might as well have fun with it.

Sarcastic patriotism? I don’t know, you’ll have to ask Mr. Spinningmercaba…I’m just here to make music :)

Great mix Jeris! Love the juxtaposition of sounds contrasting and complimenting the lyrics in a way I never imagined. Your track would make for a great video.

As for sarcastic patriotism—well, I’ll never tell ;-)

Thanks for the sweet mix!

Love that bass! The riffs sound so realistic in the mix. I had to listen to the bass stem separately to be certain it was a VST instrument. I think Trilian is officially on my wishlist now.

Yea, I’ve said this before I think, but until I got Trillian I really felt like it was pointless to do any genre that required a “real bass”. I guess I kinda felt that way about a lot of instruments. But the technology is just getting better and better. Trillian has to be one of the best investments I’ve made in my library.

What’s also great about it is that they send you patch updates for free. These patches are custom engineered for specific artists. It’s actually these free patches that I find myself using over and over.

So if you do get Trillian make sure you get those.
I think for some of it you have to have Omnisphere too though. That’s a little pricey, but actually should cost way more for what you get. I think they’re called VIP libraries.

I didn’t hear a part for a guitar solo, but I did hear a wicked and pretty much complete funky new wave song, Talkin Heads style. :)

I’ve been thinking Talkin Heads since I first heard the pell.

You always seem to say what I’m thinking, or what my intentions were, you got a real knack for it..lol

Oh, and I was thinking at 2:48 when he says “I live in a land of Rock n Roll”… That’s where a solo would be nice.

haha, I just went to youtube to try and look up a talking heads video and saw this funny comment:

“I’ve had this song in my head for the past half hour and when I logged into Youtube it was suggested for me. That isn’t coincidence - that’s some kind of creepy Google thought analysis.”

I love this track Jeris! You add just the right touch—funky, like Rodney Dangerfield and psychedelic like Willy Wonka. Thanks for making the pell sound great!
