I can remember not so long ago back when there used to be some great free festivals in England. Maybe there’d be one half-famous act, and a lot of hippies and punks playing off the back of a lorry. You could bring your own beer and weed, stretch out a rug on the grass, soak up a bit of fun and enjoy the music. For the pill generation, they’d usually have a DJ too, and quite often some poets and comedians as well. There’d be a nice selection of munch, a good few head stalls and maybe the odd fairground ride for the kiddies. Bliss!
Unfortunately, freedom isn’t a comfortable bedfellow with either the government or the “music” industry these days. Much better to shell out a hundred quid or so each for a ticket, have to present a passport with your ticket, be frisked and felt up by some meathead bouncer, and watch a band from the sort of distance that you’d see more on a TV set. All the fun dudes kicked out, such as the crusty selling knock-off Special Brew and trips and so forth, and no-one really digging the music other than to get a picture of themselves at THE EVENT to post on Facebook. Thank you, Kind Sir or Madam, for reminding me of the real music festivals that I grew up with and loved. Could just imagine this being jammed out off the back of a trailer whilst enjoying a hot dog and a spliff. Love it! |

The title says it all - great bass line – thanks for using the sample.

not problem. it’s your bass line too, from the same song as the flute.
