Talking about cliches, that lyric was born around this time last summer. I was sitting in a hotel restaurant in France next to a table with two German couples. One of the women were gazing at me quite a lot as if she was seeking contact. I thought, ’god, how bored you are with you relationship poor girl’. Then I thought (slightly intoxicated by red wine) ‘I don’t even know your name but what if you and I just take off from here right now and see what happens’. That obviously never happened but I went back to the room and wrote this cliche filled lyric about the event in just over 20 minutes and then went to bed.

Great arrangement. Totally unexpected choice of pace and tempo but it works really well.

The context in which you placed the vox originally was so alternative to your delivery but worked really well. I took it back to the walking stage as my knees cannot take that fast paced stuff too much :O)

Really interesting blend of the 3 sources! The unusual juxtaposition of Per’s work (which I love) with my own poem and totally unrelated shakuhachi isn’t something I would ever have considered. I guess that’s the beauty of ccmixter!
Thanks for remixing my work,

Rob

Thanks!

Your great poem and delivery brought on the back to nature feel of the mix. Driven on by your words I thought that Per was talking about finding a way to get back to the world we live in.

Having read his review comments I can see he was but it was on a more human level than I thought!!
