Aha! I didn’t know you’d uploaded this here. Very well written and presented, but I don’t know if I’d have the nerve to actually remix it! Time will tell… ;)

Oh ‘comon they’re just words, sticks and stones… And besides, you’ve already remixed it, kinda in reverse. You came up with the music first then i came along and put my words to it. See the succubus series:)

Just words? But… but… it says “stupid fish!” :o

I guess I ought to explain a bit further. Just that with my FB page, I have a lot of family watching that page. So although I’m not in the slightest bothered about the words, I wouldn’t feel entirely happy about putting links to it on FB. As far as uploading a remix *here* done specifically for this sample, well we shall see…

I’m mostly just giving you a hard time…Mostly :)
‘Course I’d love it if you created remix of F-for joy, but you’re certainly under no obligation to do so.
I understand that some people in our lives may not be as open minded as we’d like. But I do want you to know that in my experience, people are way more open minded than we might assume.
Plus, if you say: “Hey! Rose Caraway’s show got my song and name heard 61,527 times in 7 weeks (and rising). And, she put a link on her website so her fans can get to hear more of my music.” I’ll bet those folks you’re worried about would Chill-lax (Chill-out/relax).And would then proceed to be quite impressed.
I’d love to feature a really good remix on the show. I’d pay special homage to the artist for sure!
Life is short. And it’s going to be over in a freekn’ hot second; don’t you dare let a couple of uptight people stand in your way. I’m not just talking about a remix here, I’m talking about life!

Love you, Snowkitten!

First of all, sorry it took a while to reply. I don’t have all that much online time, sometimes, and it isn’t always possible to get everything done by the end of the day.

Well, I’ve been playing around with a few ideas, so if I can get the right balances for the volume levels (I have no end of trouble getting vocals to stand out above the music!) I may have something to put on here soon…

61000+!!! Now that is impressive and I’ve no doubt you’re extremely proud of that, with good reason. Well, you’re right of course - these days it’s all about getting the music out there, rather than the “good old days” of sending out CDs to random record companies. Not that I’m looking for record deals mind you, but that’s hardly the point. It’s still a very nice thought that the music might build up an audience, so the help is always appreciated.

As for the “life is short” paragraph, agreed totally. I lost my mum back in September, so I know full well the importance of getting things done before it’s too late. Sorry, don’t mean to be morbid - but it does add weight to what you say.

Aww, love you back. :)

I am truly, truly, sorry you lost your Mum. I’m here if you want to chat or if you just want someone to vent to. I’ll listen… You have my e-mail and my door is always open.

I lost some people that were very close to me this last year as well.
“Life is short, don’t waste it,” really hit home for me.
Losing them actually gave me the final push to do the whole podcast thing in the first place.

love you,
Rose

Thank you, very much so. I won’t forget that, I promise. I won’t go into details here, as this is your page and your work, but I won’t forget and I’m very grateful for that. And of course, I’m so sorry to hear you’ve lost some people too - it really hammers it home just how important it is to do things, rather than think “One day…”

I guess that’s the silver lining. I want to really get the music projects moving and get the songs heard. And you’ve helped with that already, but you’ve also helped with actually giving me the extra push to actually do so. So thank you. :)

xx
