Thanks so much for such a great response to my upload. I like the way you’ve changed the arrangement of the lyrics without changing the meaning. There’s a depth to the sound as well, which I probably couldn’t achieve with my own basic approach.

It’s very interesting what you’ve done here. An excellent and totally unexpected cover.

I think we should have more covers on this site(!)

Many thanks for your kind comments.

As you may know I like to use the original vocals whenever possible but sometimes it seems the right thing to do is to put a slightly different take on the vocals by singing it oneself.

I did add your sung vocal to start with but it did not sit well with the backing track without requiring a lot of cutting and pasting and even then it felt too much of an intrusion on the original. It was then I decided to sing it myself with a little bit of rephrasing to make it work.

Thanks again for another great poetic piece

pensive lyrics and melodies pull me in. you’ve brought tension to Robert’s beautiful words and the choruses are just amazing!!! i’d love to see a video made to match.

Strong production, amazing performance, love the backing track you constructed for this!
Was hoping for Robert’s vocals to reappear in the end like as a callback or for a book end effect but, BUT loved them as an intro, they really set the scene nicely :)
