Well, if the music does dry up at least there’s theatre :-).

I think this project will generate responses very true to their creators and this is a perfect example. Exceptionally well done, even for you my dear friend (and even if I was picturing Dr. Seuss illustrations when I first started reading it).

I also felt a certain Dr. Seuss vibe when reading this… :)

It’s the meter in the verse. :-) I kind of like the idea of a copyright themed Lorax type story. Or is it the “Butter Battle Book” ?

The meter, the playfulness in the rhyme… Yea a copyright Lorax story would work, or copyright Sneeches with “stars up thars.” If you don’t have a star, you can’t write music! :)

It would make a great video, you know…Dr. Suess illustrations for each line.

First I laughed out loud in a few places, then admired that/how you went all out professional on this, and by the end felt touched by the power of your message.

You continue to amaze …

I listen to this and I see late nights in the sitting room
Surrounded by stacks & stacks of records,
Vinyl, CD & mp3s on computers
Talking about “Remember when…?”
And asking “What if…”
What it is, what it was & what it shall be
About this business they call ‘music’
But more importantly;
About the music
Ultimately.

Amen brother, this poem goes straight to the point. Now, the only problem is how the heck to remix it with music?

Polite and harsh all at once. Stinging with a gentle humility.

Thanks LS. As a fellow UK dweller, you’ve summed up very well many of my thoughts on this abomination.

I think I’ll enjoy putting this to a hip hop beat, though looking at the remix list, lol, I’m sure someone also did a hip hop mix of it. Very Dr. Seuss-ish your delivery is, but it’s a good piece!
