Funny, I was picturing this as the perfect Bacardi and coke track, but it was produced under the influence of outstandingly average Dutch beer Oranjeboom.. so whos to say lol

Ok, so now we know you can, I hope you don’t give up the far more interesting “five minute ambient electronic drone” material. I’m going to recommend this anyway. The popular kids need their music too.

Don’t worry Speck this is a one off, my real project is the middle ground, to sugar the pill just enough to keep people listening then throw them a curve ball, there has to be a point between vapid accessible pop and alienating experimentation.
I guess its like watching a foreign language film, it may be the best film in the world but if there are no subtitles its hard to make sense of (unless you learn the language), I’m thinking that pop production tropes can act like subtitles to frame something abstract in a way that people can make sense of.. so they’re willing to go on a journey with that experimental piece. I’ll have to throw these ideas around over my next few tracks. |

Don’t disparage your skills — what you were able to do in 90 minutes, some people could never do in 90 years. Here’s to ongoing creative expansion!

just having a bit of fun :) I know these A,B,.. verse/chorus/bridge formulas are the tried and tested route to nice immediate music, I just find them a little claustrophobic for some reason.
