“ …you get to play again tomorrow
And then there’s a day that you don’t And then there’s no way that you won’t Die” (speck) - riveting collage, i feel honoured to be part of it |
.
Thanks, I’ve enjoyed your music immensely over the past few weeks keep it up!

This is a listening event. The whole time my brain’s picturing a live performance of it. Brilliant composition. Well executed. Well enjoyed.
Oh, and by the way, if you follow annabloom’s link above you have to follow this one too. |
.
Brutally affecting lyrics Speck, no bullshit whatsoever, I don’t think Morrissey, Thom Yorke or Lady Day ever hit it so straight.
Thats whats good about this site, you get music expressing the full gamut of human experience as opposed to mindless party tracks or picture-perfect millionaire teenagers bemoaning their traumatic love lives. |

you’ve moved poly-rhythmic mountains here & delivered what sounds like a 64 track masterwork. you’ve done a magnificent job of it!

.
Yeah I think this one went a bit over the top, I wish it had only been 64 channels lol.
Some minimal 4/4 house next I think.. |

There are some arch-experimentalists on this site with extraordinarily acute and intelligent ears for sound, the right sounds put together with consummate skill. You are one of these musicians, clearly, as are annabloom and Speck, and when this genre is done with true expertise, it makes more sense to me than ‘straight’ music. This is outstanding and it deserves more attention. I’m proud to be included. Many thanks.

Thanks, this is only my second remix and what amazes me is how immersing yourself in someone else’s vision really knocks you out of your intellectual comfort zone and sends you off on a tangent to places strange and new.
Like I would never in a million years have touched on themes like the claustrophobia of the mundane or the understated terror of becoming “comfortably numb” and sleepwalking vacantly toward oblivion, going gentle into that good night.. etc. So thanks for the trip. |

You seriously thought 12/5 would make things easier? ;>)
Pretty sophisticated sonic weaving with some remarkable dynamics. Thanks for including me. |
.
lol, not easier, weirder, but you have a point I went too far in deconstructing what makes music function on this one, its pretty humourless isnt it?
Thing is, I’ve been producing for so long I can turn out a catchy electro-pop track in no time, it just doesnt feel challenging enough.. too quick and easy. Give me an hour and I’ll do a quick mix to show you what I mean.. |

.
done, how long was that? :P

Nice one Mr Amon Tobin.
|
.
Good observation, this is something of a mash-up between Tobin, Squarepusher’s Mutilation Colony and Ligeti’s Requiem No2, Kyrie. Molto Espressivo
All worth a listen if you’re looking for something outside the box. |
