A curious percussion opening leads into a fun wall of guitars.

It’s all a bit overwhelming, but the vocals peeking out through the sound works pretty well. That little vocal/rooster/gulp sound at the end of the percussion hook is odd, and it grows on me as the song goes on.

I keep calibrating the volume down a bit, and when I get it a bit softer then it all seems to work a bit better.

The little contra-melody at 3:15 is cool but it’s not perfectly mixed into the whole.

I think it’s good to have a laid-back approach to this kind of material—this is a nice listen.

I like the little guitar bit when it pops up around 4:15—in general, the softer touches of this are so nice that I’d like to hear more soft parts. I think a note went sour around 4:40ish on the guitar line, but I’m no great genius at such matters.

This is a fun mix, and it could be even more fun for me if it were a bit gentler here and there.
