Hey CamSynth. This is a nice remix. It is a bit loud. The vocals and other sounds have no space to breathe. I would suggest toning it down on the volume maximizer and you will be golden. Nice work overall.

Alright, so I’ve updated the track with the main channel volume turned down a bit. Tell me what you think! Your comments are VERY much appreciated!

Sounding better in my opinion. The song is great. I would love to hear more dynamics. There seems to be a lot of frequencies pushed to the same level. Do you have a volume maximizer or compressor applied to the master channel? This is what usually causes this. I would suggest reducing the maximizing to create more dynamics. If you get some free time, check out this article on the “Loudness War”

I really want to thank you for shining some light upon the subject. I was never aware of the “loudness war”, but now that I know, I will never look at music the same way! Anyways, there was indeed a limiter that FL Studio automatically sneaked into the master channel. I have taken that out, manually equalized multiple channels as well as the master (slightly increased the lower and upper frequencies). I have also added a few subtle effects and crashes. The updated version is now up. I was able to increase the dynamic range from a 7 to an 11. According to Audacity, the waveform for the updated track is much more complex than of the old one. Thank you for all of your help, and tell me what you think!

One last thing, I did in fact feel it was necessary to apply a limiter onto the vocals, since the original accapella had a bit of notable volume variations.
