Oh yeah! Turn it up! Love the energy.
As an aside, I’d like to mention something that I’m finding increasingly frustrating when attributing sources - titles with special characters do not play well with the search engine(s?) here. Type in Grenade and this will not show up. |

Sweet, many thanks, Speck, I’m glad you liked it :)
Re: special symbols, looking into it, I see the problem with finding for sourcing. Not just with extended characters, but with punctuation as well. Temp. solution might be searching by artist, will pull up most recent at top of the list. I noticed in file list for properties, none of the characters show in the file name, super spooky (!) I am looking into it, will find a better solution for the problem. Thank you for the heads up, I wasn’t aware until now. — edit - special characters do show up when searching by artist, and copy/paste works when searching by title. This could also be helpful in instances where alternate punctuation is used (ie. ` instead of ‘) or extra spaces. |

Are you testing on the main search box or the one we use to attribute sources when we upload? That’s where I run into the problem. I can usually get around it searching by artist then looking for the track but that gets a little troublesome too when using an older sample from someone who has a ton of uploads.
Ps - I always do copy/paste when searching for attribution by title, doesn’t work for me (with special characters that is). Pps - Yeah, I’ve noticed it with punctuation and spaces too. (Although it does seem to recognize underscores.) Anyway, it’s not a major problem, just a minor inconvenience. |

I had another user use the “submit remix” feature, and we were able to see it listed when searching by artist (for source attribution). Then we copied and pasted the name into the field and searched by title and it showed up as well. It’s possible that copying and pasting might have picked up extra characters that threw off the search. This has happened to me in the past when copying the name of an upload from it’s own page.
It seems like the only parts of the website that have an issue with unicode are the filenaming and title display for group listing (remix lists, “uses samples from”, etc) pretty much where an ellipsis might be used. I am sorry for the inconvenience. I hope this doesn’t discourage you or anyone else from using unicode, or (worst case scenario) not using material because of the name of the upload. |
