Crash sound i send several time trough a reverb fx. Bit crushed the sound (degrading the sample rate). Send trough various send track each with different sets of distortions, flanger and fasers. Then I rendered the sounds for each track.
Then I reversed the sounds and send each sound through more effects.

The idea of writing a book with sounds has been very educative.
