Samples I Used
I used two samples from the site, one by fx10243 and one by sleepless. Both are licensed as shown on the song page. I used the samples provided for the contest.
Process
I placed the fx10243 piece "Dreamy" into Musedit, which is a music notation software. I slowed the piece down, and completely changed all the MIDI instruments used to play the song, to make it both more deliberate and more quirky. I added the spoken word samples, and then filled in a space with the Sleepless "Humcycle" piece.
Other Notes
I favor creation of work outside the studio system, a third path.
I also favor changes in the duration of our copyright laws.
I may be the only entrant who is registered as a patent lawyer, but then again, others so licensed may also be entering.
