Tools I Used

Sawcutter 2.0
Magix Audio Studio 10

Samples I Used

The samples are all attributed, except that I created a mockingbird sample and a teapot sample, while Mr. Peter Yearsley and Mr. Jayson Lang graciously agreed to be my readers.

Original Samples

Mr. Yearsley and Mr. Lang's spoken word sections.

Process

I used three wave samples run through the Sawcutter synthesizer to create the melody. One is DJ Lang's guitar one sample, a section of which is the primary "voice" of the synth. A secondary keyboard section is Bill Berry's keyboards. A third voice is a temple bell sound I created using the fleximusic generator softsynth.

I applied a telephone effect to
Jayson Lang's voice to give it a different "heft" than the original sample.

Other Notes

I like doing spoken word track remixes, and I like Calendar Girl's songs, so I thought I'd try something new.

I encourage everyone to visit calendarsongs.com, where some nice mixes await.
