Seasons greeting to all!
I’ve always liked big band swing era. I think some of the most interesting lyrics came out of that time. So here’s my poor attempt at a “classic” swing song. In my head k.d.lang is singing it (or maybe Ethel Merman for totally different reasons). Let me know if you want it sung differently or want to sing this yourself. All the best to you and yours, n9 Crush: It’s not love, it’s nothing grand Not a do or die, just a minor blush I don’t want to hold you or even know your name Just catch your eye Give me a smile, a smoldering glance Across a crowded room A whisper of what may be, will be Enough for me Chorus: I’ve done the “death do us part” And the barefoot kitchen dance At least enough to know it’s not for me So let me have a little rush Enjoy a little crush And then honey, let me free You set my little hear racing I forget to breath, time has no meaning It’s how it’s supposed to be A glimpse of a dream, a crush, just a little crush So give wings to my heart Let is fly a way, far away from here Let is bloom another day It was never meant to be, to be So let it free
