Aluminum Sticks

“Aluminum Sticks” was created for the “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Remix” Project. I made the track using sounds that were generated from drumming trash cans, bottles, buckets, pots and pans, etc… all natural sounds. Sounds I thought that when arranged carefully, created a feeling of thrift, of recycling, of being more resourceful. It is meant to demonstrate how we can reuse natural resources for other valuable means, how we can use them for other purposes after they have already been used up for their original intentions. All the sounds created in this track were on materials that weren’t originally made with the intention for them to be instruments, but with just a little resourcefulness, instead of throwing out these items, music can be made. Using resources this way in every aspect of life allows us to improve our sustainability. Less wasteful, more resourceful.
