Speck’s archive is deep, which made choosing source for this mix a great journey into one of ccMixter’s most eclectic artists. I choose some source of his early on…and did a whole mix that, come upload day, I decided not to use. So I scrambled in the early hours and found another direction to go in. One that I hope captures the experimental nature of Speck’s work. The mix is simple, but the contect is complex. Who has the key to the cage? Quite possibly it’s Speck
