The Player’s Lounge is the name of a bar where I used to get together with some other local squiers and jam out tunes not unlike the one heard here.

It’s been a while since I made a serious attempt at producing a rock track, and I wanted to give it a go, just to see if I could apply some of my new skills to a different genre.

I also wanted a track that would demonstrate to local rock groups that I can handle more than just programmed beats and loops. this might not be a problem in bigger cities, but around here, rock bands are still fairly uncomfortable letting electronic producers handle their tracks.

Sorry that the video is lacking in content… and looks so wierd. I’m usually at the mercy of what footage I can take myself while working on a project.

The old school mix was an attempt to give the same track a very different feel to it. Much of the atmosphere was stripped away in favor of a more up-front sound which reminds me of older rock records for some reason.
