The Lost Swak (Acapella)

After recently moving back home, in Puerto Rico, I’ve had a lot of time to just lay at the beach, which is minutes from my house, and think about my roots/my life/my future/etc. Sun high, shades on, martini in hand… I started playing with a funny little concept my friends and I had when we were kids living by the ocean, called “The Lost Swak”; in were we decided we lived in a lost paradise. I’ve always held this idea very dear. Throw in a little folklore from “The Fisherman And The Turtle Princess” and this is what the song came to be…
::Lyrics:: There is a shack by the sea Say, come with me I’ll show you greatness In your eyes you’ll see Kick back and relax No worry time don’t fly The bird in the sky The white sands They made for you Don’t be scared But beware A turtle’s back is for loosing Is the Lost Swak Sweet ol’ Lost Swak Lonely Lost Swak Sin and pray Wet a cheek A lost paradise Kills you soft and sweet Sun hot Palm breeze Your dreaming Be witness Your death on the beach The whore in the shack Your God and me The friends and the rats And the grave you dug We cry for you Nothing’s fair Round or square As you wake from the boozing Is the Lost Swak Sweet ol’ Lost Swak Lonely Lost Swak
