the king corrupted
a synapse captive
ouroboros overriden
modern maladaptive

smoke and mirrors
won’t do the trick
people are children
and the world is sick

a constant concern
or emergency situation
sirens signal aid
as self medication

the spiral is spoiled
turned into a toilet tantrum
black’s the new gold
souls towed under in tandem

and i feel for you
like a plastic backpack
for, one must first
learn to get high on life instead
and then learn to abstain
from that as well
