Several high quality uploads have been piratically plundered for this piece of nautical nonsense.

The sound of the creaking ship and the waltz time seasick bassline come from a track by enoe on ibeat:

When old Billy Bones got the black spot
That’s where it all started for me
I got swept right enough up in treasure hunt stuff
Which carried me far out to sea
Well I could give you more of the story for sure
But let’s just say we set sail for a faraway shore

Well I fell asleep in a barrel
And woke up with a terrible start
In my earshot a mutinous plot
Was being hatched by a treacherous heart
His name was Long John, he was piracy’s son
I’ll never trust a tall one-legged man with a talking parrot on his shoulder again

Now Silver was always at my elbow
Saying ‘Arrr Jim lad’ till it stuck
He must have got that from the film though
He don’t talk like that in the book
Well a few of our crew were good men and true
The rest were all pirates but what can you do?

Those pirates laid siege to our stronghold
And fired on the old stockade
We were caught in a scrap for old Billy Bones’ map
What big holes those musket balls made
For all Silver’s thuggery his words were still sugary
But we finally put paid to his ugly skulduggery

We dug where that treasure map told us
But found only a watery pit
Yes the government had seized it and used it
To pay off the deficit
We sailed back to our kindred, heart-broke and empty-handed
And unluckily for us that’s where this story ended
