Original poem mixed with music sample from Magnatune, inspiration for which came to me in a dream several years back (2001). More info in “how I did it”.

All us lonely troubadours
Cast out upon the waters
Makin’ peace of all that is
Set free of all that bothers

Giving up what never was
Makin’ light of past event
Lettin’ go of all we thought
So doggone relevant

Final journey, final song
Enough to make one quiver
Bound for glory all along
On that eternal flowin’ river

Will I stay or go?
What’s in dyin’ and what’s in livin’
This is all I wanta know
Best kept secret of all that is
Findin’ peace within the soul
Take this life and take forever

Is love and life and joyful bliss

Or suffer always from our past?

And those memories of old times
To be left forever someplace else
As we step out of that line
