You have me bopping in my chair with this fantastic production and killer groove Zep! Songboy has an amazing voice and delivery. Well done!

Thanks ch. I think the groove comes from Frank’s phrasing and rhythm. I’m just trying to catch it running way behind. ;)

We all have remixed Songboy3’s ‘80 tune but few were able to transport it into 21th century. Great drum processing, sparkling wurlitzer and wise vocal chop (I adore the “never never” anticipation, for instance).

Thanks Carosone. Don’t you just love that timeless Wurli-sound - it never gets outdated.

Zep, you did an incredible arrangement of the tune! You got my 4-year-old daughter bopping all over the place! GREAT WORK!

Thank you, Frank! I’m truly happy I made justice to your great piece. Tell your daughter the dude from Finland loves her daddy’s work very much. ;)

Zep, I’m always interested in what folks hear when they decide that my vocals are something they want to explore. And from the first kick, you made sit up and take notice! Well done! And like I’ve asked so many talented folks up here on CC: Why the hell are y’all so damned far away from me?!? Finland? SHEESH!! LOLOLOL!!! I kid, I kid!

Did you play a trick on me??? About at half time, there is a break. As I picked up my head, what is it??? It starts again. I appreciate the little creative ideas, like this.

Yes. I was thinking “what evil trick I should use this time to get Zapac off balance?” ;) Now you have to pay me back in your next production.

Nice to see you found Songboy. ( There’s a first time for everyone on here)

Some lovely touches. Very Cameo / Jeff Lorber .

So I’ve now done my rite of passage and became full member of ccmx. ;) Thanks for the comment. I have to add smooth jazz to the song tags it seems.

Thanks Donnie. The groove was already in the orginal - I just tried not to destroy it.

Thanks Steven. I’m glad you took your time to listen to it, although it must be boring for you all ccMixter vets to listen time and again the same remix sources.

Thanks fishy. I actually can’t play keys (live). I have to do loads of note by note editing. ;)

Dig it. If it sounds sloppy and loose, then it’s me playing the piano ‘:0)

Usually I can listen to damn near anything without swaying my figure and bobbing my head like a doofus. I can’t help myself with this song though, just too dang groovy.

Thanks Nethis! At first I quickly checked out your msg and read “boobies”, but the at the second look it was something else. :P Hmmm… now I’m wondering why I revealed that …

This is sharp, metric, and yet so soulful, like a Bobby Brown track: from way back when he was good. :)
