Beautiful. Another great lesson in the power of keeping things simple.

“Small is beautiful” :) Great.

I would prefer to hear the vocals not so upfront, but it is just a matter of taste.

Yes very nice but a little too minimal for me. I would have liked to hear a nice guitar or sax here and there to emphasise the simplicity.

Nice feel to this though and very well put together

I had to listen to this a bunch before it really made sense to me, my head has been so full lately, and then suddenly, in a moment of peace, it made good sense. It’s lovely.

Teru, can you do no wrong?

Those striking piano loops are melodic emotional daggers to the aural senses, and you have taliored the music perfectly to Kaer’s spirited, haunting vocals.

Minimalism done right can be so much.

Incredible work.

couldn’t have said it better. As the late, great, spoken word artist Mark Bennett once said “Minimalism, it’s the least you can do.”

He was telling everyone to be an artist and Teru surely is.

I agree with the rest… you managed to create a really strong song with so little… love it… one or two short intermezzos with strong changes in dynamics would have been cool. but this is more a suggestion than a critique really. excellent work!

First time for me listening to the voice of Kaer Trouz. I am deeply impressed not only of the voice(and the treatment) but also for the adequate instrumental that you have done.
This (light aslope) piano is superb!

Thanks TheJoe. : )

Kaer Trouz is simply amazing. The piano you mention is her as well. She also produces top notch remixes.

Shame on me! I should have a more exact look on details. So thanks for this advice.

I like this a lot, pared down and lonely .

The little change to a slight maj 7 is a relief to the tonal feel, & gives a little hope to the words.

On cans the reverb is a bit `hally’ and a tad long for the phrases but a overall a cool spatially barren take on an emotional lyric.

sultry. and i really dig the playoff between the lo passed vox and the reverbed vox. and the simple sparse arrangement is all the more effective for it.
