It’s fair to say that Frank (songboy3) taught me everything about the creation of drum and bass.

It’s not a genre I had ever mixed in or fully liked and like all things there is the lore of unwritten rules, of which kick drum etc should be used, which I never got.(… still don’t)

But anyway it was a useful learning curve and I get it now,sort of, maybe. By listening to a lot of his collaborations with artists across the world, I managed to curtail my natural instincts and urges to add certain things and just let it be.

This R & B vocal has been sitting on the site 16 years, he would be chair dancing ( his phrase) I know , to hear it in this type of arrangement.

Hopefully he will get to hear and experience it in some sort of transcendental, spiritual way.
