Fun! (With a capital ‘F’!) Excellent backing track- love this style- playful, indeed! Thanks for using my lil’ vocal… makes me wish Mur were here drooling on my work right now! :) (fyi, there is a bunch of blank space at the end of the track…)

Thanks Kara, I figured you were a bit partial to a tuba groove! Deformed your vocals in a few places (sorry), and I could say the blank space at the end is your cat going to sleep, but it was an oversight. Will fix when I get back into the studio :)

Great. How did you create that brass section?

I’ve been wondering the same thing - it sounds so authentically brilliant, like a full band just randomly knocked on your studio door and asked if they could march through! Any chance you could upload the instrumental? I have an idea…a really silly idea…

All the brass is soft synth (midi), with the timbre and formant tweeked in Melodyne. The tuba was a thump bass with the attack killed off and the trails lengthened. Giving each instrument its own space in the stereo field also tricks your ear into thinking that they are real (and part of a band). Glad you like it :)
