Our community has received some very sad news— Frank Carter III, known here at ccMixter as Songboy3, has passed away.

Frank’s iconic vocals have been remixed at ccMixter over 300 times.

In his honor, please consider reading the Artist Spotlight/Q&A through an interview with Victor Stone back in 2008.

Our own Loveshadow has continued to work musically with Songboy3 for the past few years and they have spoken weekly during that period.

Songboy3’s voice and music remain with us and will always be beloved here in our community.

Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m upset and sorrowful, I knew he was ill but I couldn’t believe so early and not old. My thoughts go to his family as well.
