Wow..thanks scot! Haha I like the fizz/silence too (probably the unsoundproof room) because it reminds me of reel to reel recordings…just the raw sound.

I did this recording later at night so I can tell my voice sounds a bit raspy. I want to re-do some parts because of the perfectionist side haha but don’t want to make mixers mad if I post another new vocal for Broken when they have been working with this vocal. Don’t get me wrong I like this recording and I think it turned out well but I always like to improve on style and sound ya know! That is what being an artist is about.

I hear ya on the perfectionist / improving (my mix tonight had 9 mix downs… verging on the insane, but I’m such a fanatic when it comes to getting the mix right).

Especially when loveshadow is awake, you wanna get a real crisp vocal going right?… Investing in a decent mic is always a good move. I used to have 3 and I didn’t even sing (due to an injunction by the neighbors :-)
