Why must songs fight? This one has a cheery demeanor, probably happily able to get along with other songs. It happily got along with me.

I vaguely recall it whispering something about being a pacifist, but did I listen?? Do humans ever listen? (Thanks for listening.)

The Israel Kamakawiwo’ole version of the birds and the bees. A quirky winner in my book.

What a wonderful comparison! His version of “Over the Rainbow” helped me get through my mother’s death… Isn’t it amazing how songs connect themselves to memories? Thank you, Admiral.

Pretty nifty on the uke there, I gave mine away several years ago; you’re starting to make me regret it.

Thanks, unreal. I’m pretty darn happy with this little uke- it’s new. This is the one I ended up with. Before that I was playing a $20 toy uke and decided it was way past time to upgrade. I’d love to hear what you could do on one… I’m pretty much just a rhythm uke-ist. :)

Looks like a great uke - always had a soft spot for them much underrated instruments. Joe Brown did some great tracks with one and of course George Formby made a career out of one.

Thanks for the links. I had heard of George Formby, but not much of Joe Brown. Great stuff. This guy’s pretty incredible, too-

Busy bee Kara, (or Mayfly?), just listened to your great podcast and now already another funny, genuine MMT piece.
Really great!

Why thank you. I’ve fallen for the uke again… it’s just such a fun instrument to play.

Was wondering how I missed this when I realized it predates my time here. Kara, this is ridiculous(ly) brilliant and it’s especially nice to hear your voice unfettered and sardonically expressive. Made my evening, years after.

Haha! Well, it makes my day that it made your evening… years after! Thanks for digging my silliness, Mr_Y.
