I was involved in a project that performed skits along with dialogue and live music, which this reminded me of instantly…I like music that takes me to familiar places, but shows me a different WAY to get there.
And yes, it does qualify as "music".

I think you used the music perfectly in the short film. It sounded kind of off-mixed in the transition to the appearance of "it" though. Maybe it was done to compensate for the bathroom acoustics? In any case enjoyed this and the film. I’d sample it if didn’t creep me out so much : )
