How did you record this? What gear/methods did you use? You will probably get more tips if you leave this info in the description!

Thanks for the advice, I added a description of what I used and will make sure to do so in the future.

Hm, what do you mean by blank? For me there is a zip file which contains several .flac-files.

I probably need to calibrate the effects device better to make it sound better and practice to play more coherently, what do you think?

I’m no guitar expert, but I’m listening to a preview of the digitech genesis 3 and it sounds like you can get some pretty cool sounds out of it. If you’re recording direct in, have you heard of Guitar Rig by Native Instruments? It’s a vst plugin amp simulator so could be a bit of cheat but has some incredible sounds on there.

Nice riff. It sounds a bit “flat”. Less distortion and a bit more midrange could make it sound better. Well, at least in my opinion… :)
