Wow, you did Apoxode’s tune some heavy duty, six-shootin’, nickel plated old style sheriff’s beat down justice! Seriously though, this was a fun ride. I love the theme from the whistling to the beautiful guitar work. Excellent!

“Well, gosh darn’t, but aye think we’ll go on down ta the saloon an do some celebratin’!!!”

Thank you for the ed pick. It was a fun mix all way down the line, and I’m glad it translated.

I gotta say, Apoxode’s stems were so solid it made it easy. I didn’t change his arrangement at all, except for panning and some slight level adjustments.

” panning and some slight level adjustments”: solid stems but different, not cowboys there. Don’t underestimate yourself.. you’ve done a damned good job here!

Glad you like!

I must admit I was Like “yes!” when I pulled you as my assignment, and a little nervous at the same time. Your production skill is beyond me, and your catalog is like a candy store. I new I was going to have to push myself.

So what did I do? I got some candy and sat down to watch an ole western. Johnny Guitar.

My first attempt, after finding Personal Garden, was to start with a christmas kinda vibe, writing some lyrics and a partial melody with a Rat Pack lounge feel…nah

…Then I watched another western. or two…

I then before you know it, I only had 2 days left before upload day.

I was under the gun and it was like Johnny Guitar jumped right off the screen an put the guitar in my hand, I swear. From there I was off into the sunset!

No, seriously though, I had so much fun with this. Thank you for such a great stem pack!

Keep ‘em coming.

We were both in the musical sagebrush, mixing tunes from half way around the world. btw-Your mix floored me. I could’ve used a shot after listening to it.

wow! Thanks a lot for that compliment. I would be honored to have a nod from him. I’d also love to have the chance to do a whole movie score.

Just having real strings instead of cheesy casio samples would rock my world!

wow, this is amazing! the intro is magical with the trumpet in the distance, combined with the guitars. and then that whistling! when that wailing guitar solo comes in, into that breakdown followed by the string section, brilliant. then back around to the whistling hook. what a well crafted arrangement and production! so many tasty elements in this garden, I’m sure to visit again. congrats on the Ed Pick!

Thanks Snowflake!

Apoxode’s stems were a strong skeletal structure for the added parts, so the arrangement just latched on to that.

Whistling is hard…and reminds me of our friend Nikki, who hated out of tune whistling. lol

It would be so much fun to do a western soundtrack, don’t ya think?

Thanks Sackjo22!

I’d like to redo the whole mix over again, now that I know what the parts are. It’s a sketch for a larger painting. But, with that said, I’m glad you like it and I had a great time producing it.

Now there’s a spaghetti western theme if I ever heard one. Someone get Sergio Leone on the phone! Great cinematic ambience.

Okay, dude. This is incredible. I, too, love a good western and DAMN. You’ve slung the spaghetti EVERYWHERE with this one. Congrats on the Ed Pick. Totally deserved.

Thanks Kara! It’s a sonic shoot out for sure. If there wasn’t a deadline, I’d still be laying tracks down on it, lol.
