BONGOS!!! :-)
Wow … pro-tools AND GarageBand? There’s two opposite ends of the spectrum … Did they have a fist fight when your back was turned? This is a nice vibe. And bongos, man … my God, the bongos … I can’t begin to tell you how badly I want .. neigh NEED a drink … the kind with a little paper umbrella … and a beach, I need a beach too … |

I really dig the downtempo vibe. It’s very underground hiphop, with CG thrown deftly on top. Well done. Can’t help but feel that somewhere in the bg music there’s something missing during the first verse. It’s honestly just ONE beat each loop. Whatever it is, it’s fixed the 2nd verse. Good job man, I really really like it.

listened to this the other day but didn’t have time to write some proper thoughts. this is really pretty awesome jay, particularly because i love how you really developed the arrangement around the vocal track. interesting little piece you worked up for the bridge/chorus? vocal section, and the rest of the production you did fits like a glove. it’s like this was written together, the vocals and the arrangement. just really great stuff man. as you like to say, on point!

I just love the way your beat keeps rolling along, you really managed to put some serious summer feel into this! :)
I have a hunch that some variation or a tiny extra track in the second half could add that final bit of cream on top of that delicious cocktail, but that’s just me and I’m not even sure at this point. Way to go, can’t wait to hear what you’ll be cooking up next :) |
