wow, your vocal additions are really great. my only minor nitpick would be i’m wishing you added a bit of reverb to bo’s vocal track. actually it’s really only an issue for me in the intro when he comes in dry and alone. the rest of the time, i hardly notice it.

but that’s pretty minor compared to what you added. cool arrangement and great singing and beatboxing.

That is an interesting idea, MCJitB. I did not use any effects in the song—I am a recording newbie—and stuff like this just didn’t cross my mind. My primary focus, beyond the arrangement and singing, was dynamic-subtlety, and not drowning out BoHeart’s lead. I will think more about your idea.

(To be perfectly honest, I didn’t realize before yesterday—the morning of the day I submitted it to ccmixter—that you could make the song stereo simply by balance-ing random voices slightly to the left or right. Luckily I doubled voice-parts, and had one on each side. Even more lucky, I gave a preview to the right person!)

Beatboxing! Never thought of it that way but, yeah, I guess so. :’ )

Anyway, thank you VERY much for the compliment, MCJitB.

I love that whole train idea of this remix and the human generated train noises. Also, having harmony vocals made by (a) real human voice(s) is something I often wish we had more of here at ccM. Thus your remix speaks to me on that level as well, and I hope it will also encourage some of our other great vocalists here to do more vocal harmony work.

p.s. thanks for the shout out :-)

Wow. I can’t explain it, but I had a very visceral reaction to this composition. It actually brought tears to my eyes.
