From start to finish, a sultry, steady funk that lifts the heart and mind alike. Very soulful, rich in texture, and balanced elements of percussion, melody and harmony. I predict a Deep House remix in the near future, as this will inspire any resourceful House aficionado. Beautiful!

i’m so inspired Susan! NOW is the time. your words are working their way into my heart and mind, and i’m ready to raise my voice, together with other voices. thank you for reminding me i’m not alone. the musical track is delicious too btw (Haskel’s licks are so yummy and Calyman’s stems are delicious too). thank you for pitching in to make sure no Mixter was left behind —- and for doing it with soul & style!!

Yes, yes, YES!!! A smooooooth protest rant with a decidedly necessary direct call to action. NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW. Now is when we rise together. Now is when we join hands and fight all of the good fights. All of our little fights need to UNITE because they are truly all the same. We all want and deserve love, peace, safety, justice, equality, a livable home, etc., etc… AND exactly! We are all in this together… every country, every ethnicity, every gender, every preference… we are all just people… whose voices will be heard when we join them together.
Your rant made me rant…! Thank you for creating this inspiring piece. Calyman’s instrumental and Haskel’s guitar-work made for the perfect backing. And thank you for leaving no mixter behind. I’m so happy to hear this! |
