Lovely! Once again you’ve managed to create a “studio session” feel from unconnected samples. It’s a beautiful vocal track and the backing fits very well—both guitar and vox seem to carry a similar “emotional” feel. Great track—thanks for using my stuff.

Thanks Jav, lovely expressive guitar playing as always, and you can’t go wrong with MVW’s vocals

By the way, this is off-topic but while you’re here, have you seen the documentary on BBC iplayer ’Mark Knopfler: A Life in Songs’? It’s great, it spans all his musical influences and he’s now gone back to a folk and celtic sound, and some of this reminded me of your work. Plus he shows how he got some of his famous sounds on his guitars. A thoroughly nice guy as well, after watching it I thought “I’ll need to tell Javo!”

I love when two so far unconnected samples (them) sound with the help of a master mind (you) as made for each other!
Mixes like yours infortunately are often a bit neglected (we).
Wish you tons of recommendations

Thanks Wired Ant, well if there’s more than 1 person (me) that likes it, then that’s a bonus and now there is 3 (you, Jav and Nethis), so I’m happy!

Grosbeak! :)

I love it too! I like how you creatively broke up the notes, and then somehow wove them seamlessly back together again into a very different song. Nice!

Thanks MVW, I thought you might find it strange listening to it as it’s slightly re-arranged and also a lot slower than the original, so I’m pleased you like it!

Nicely done. This is the pell I’m currently working on, the singing is angelic but there are some echos and mid heavy sections that are hard to smooth out if you’re not an expert in audio editing/voice editing.. and I’m not lol. Anyway this sounds great!

Cheers Nethis, I can’t wait to hear your version - your stuff is great! Yeah this pell was a bit tricky in parts, I made certain parts individual samples and treated them separately from the rest of the vocal to balance them out. Parametric EQ (with a visualiser like the one I use in FL Studio) always helps because you can see where the frequencies are a bit too heavy

Nethis, I’ll work harder at my GB skills so that you’ll be spared from all these headaches. lol. Thanks in advance for working on the pell.

I apologize, my lady. Your pell is undoubtedly a pleasure to work with. I meant only that a good mixer knows how to manipulate the way a pell sounds to fit the music they’re making and it’s an art in which I’m still a layman.

Listening to a track on repeat always seems like a good idea at the time, but you’ll regret it in the long run! Thanks for the feedback
