Doghouse Goes all George Martin.

You have surpassed yourself.

Fabulous and inventive you are such a sentimentalist. Really enjoyed it .

It walks. :-)

I thought there was a problem coz that women keeps screaming in the background thru the verses.

She obviously heard those cymbals which are clearly and blatantly off the Revolver album.

In fact this version was a lot better when Ringo sang it or was it that Plant bloke ? :-)

Yea it was Richard not Robert. And while he was a much more “amiable” bloke he wadn’t nearly as crazy.

Agree to that George Martin and Cardigans thing! But for sure with an original DR mark.
Sounds like everything is done on a Mellotron.

Nice hum at the beginning and the end! Take care of your power supply and cables ;-)

Thankee Spin, this ain’t the one I spoke to ya about. It’s more oh-dear-lord-gawd-almighty-on-a-soda-cracker look what he’s done now kinda stuff. Look for it in a theater near you soon.

I love the intro, although the borrowing is perhaps more sampling of a non-CC than might be permitted, unless that quoted song has gone cc lately. I’ll leave that to people smarter than me. I’d think you could quote it less and do a take-off more and have fun, too.

Wow! What a creative idea. I love the wall of music here. I love it when it all goes to one bit of percussion around 2, and then starts up again.

I wish I had a home planetarium and a heathkit laser so that I could get abstract shapes projected onto an overhead screen while I thank my lucky stars that mixter is populated by people who make things as creative as this.

Unexpected, wonderful, and makes me long for 5 dollar LPs.

Thanks there Gurdonark, ol pal. Yea, I don’t know the rules about whether I did or did not quote a certain song or not over here at ccMixter in my ol magnum opus as I probly don’t know what even you’re referin to in the context you’re presentin as I’m not a lawyer or don’t even play one on TV but I might or might not understand what yor sayin as applies to this or that or the other thang only I cain’t be sure as my memories faulty. HTH.

Can’t give any legal advice on the boards, but I can say “you did one one great mix”, and that’s probably the better place for me to go anyway.

if you used copyright material that you don’t own or otherwise have permission to use you have to remove it from the track or remove the track from the site. Like… right now.

No worrys, ol pal. Twas done before I got yor message. Give er another listen, she’s ok now. Just curious tho (and for future reference) ifn no money’s changin hands and you guys ain’t makin no dough on these here mixes how come ya cain’t “quote” from a tune? Or would ya just have ta list the publishin/writin credits in yor song profile?

finally getting around to actually listening to this track. I think everybody has said what can be, I’ll just say I really appreciate the collage style of arrangement of instruments and interplay between them. This is really, really hard to pull off (I’ve tried and failed more times than I should admit) but you do it to perfect effect. Congrats.

Thanks fer the kind words FS, ol pal. I appreeeeeeciate it. But ya got me confused a bit. What exactly do ya mean by “collage style arrangement”? Just curious.

Real nice trip, DH. If you had real skill the track would’ve skipped, not just crackled. :-) I’ll send you my prized Discwasher Kit so you can clean that old LP off :-).

Seriously, very nice work and a very interesting listen. I sense I could learn a lot about production by listening to this. Can’t add much more because it’s all been said already.

The refugee camp continues to grow :-).

This song is why I am here!
You are a Sonar and toontrack user like me, and you posted a link in the sonar forum to the toontrack website where this song was chosen, I liked it so much and had in my head for so long, then you pointed to CG, then CG pointed to here.
I’ve just arrived, I’ll take a look at your remixes here..

Neither of them, it was my uncle, dark side of my father, he met DHR and CG’s mom during their holidays in Paris, he was the one who was begging a penny, they gave him a paper where “ccmixter” was written. In fact Doghouse is not listed in the Sonar users, in the extras section..

Wail, hell there Carosone, ol pal. Sorry I’m responsible fer gettin ya inta this here mess. Don’t hold it against me or nothin. Unless, a course, ya want to. And they is simply too afraid of my own real self over at the Sonar thang. Their loss. Or is it?
