HISTORY LESSON! “Up on the Housetop” was written by Benjamin Hanby in 1864. Get this… not only is it considered the second-oldest secular Christmas song, outdone only by “Jingle Bells” ( Wikipedia), but it was also written in Ohio! In fact, Benjamin Hanby lived about 10 minutes away from where I live now when he wrote the song. So that was cool to learn! I hope you dig my rendition. Happy Holidays, friends!
