Ok I just figured out what “back catalog” meant… kind of a grey area, no? I am only posting songs on here that use Freesound samples but of course they are “layered” most remixes I have heard sound like full songs… and some were pretty good….

for all I know, this may be the future of the site: folks with a dozen year old remixes with samples form FS and ccM just sitting around.

what can I say? I still look at ccM and FS as being “brand new” sites, so by definition remixes that use samples from these sites are new, freshly minted. So far that’s been one of the differentiating features of ccM — at other music sites you’re probably listening to music created +5/10 years ago, but here, because of the nature of the thing, you *know* the latest uploads are in fact, brand new creations. no biggee, just sumpin to thinkbout.,.
