Who do I give credit to on songs?

I’m new to the site and I’ve read all the material, but I’m still not clear on who I give song credits to if I sample material from this site to create a new song and post it off this site. Do I give it to the last creator, or to every person the last creator used?

Just the person you sampled.

fourstones, it’s funny you should reply because I am interested in using your “Deep Down In My Heart”. I have lyrics that fit that perfectly. I am cutting & pasting your song into a more standard song format. I’ll add my lyrics and use the “Deep down in my heart” vocals as chorus back-up. So, first, can I do this? Second, if I can, do I share songwriting credits with you only? Also, do you want to hear it if I can make it work (which, at this point, is 50-50)?

Thanks.

You can do what the license allows. If you want to do something more (like charge people money) then you should contact me (offline).

I’d love to hear it when your done, just post it here and follow the instructions on the remix submit form.

Thanks
