Silent films with new soundtracks made (mostly) from CC Mixter tracks

I’ve been putting together some CC-licensed soundtracks for public domain silent films that have no PD soundtrack of their own.

I’m just an amateur with no professional experience so please do manage your expectations :D

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

Wings (1927) - The first film to win a “best picture” oscar, it’s about fighter pilots in the First World War:

The Phantom of the Opera (1925) - A gothic horror romance based on the Gaston Leroux novel:

Any kind of feedback appreciated :) I should say that in both cases the soundtracks tend to get more interesting from a CC point of view about 30-40 mins into the film, if you’re wanting to skip ahead.

It’s mainly from CC Mixter, but there are also a few public domain bits and a very small amount of Kevin MacLeod (for when I couldn’t find exactly the right thing anywhere).

I do almost all of my work under CC Attribution so while I’ve been very rap focused recently, I do a lot of instrumentals. If there’s an itch you can’t scratch talk to me I’d love to come up with something for your project.
