We are aware of the bug with song playback. That’s a big one, obviously. Hope to have it onboard soon.
But click around and let us know anything else that’s out of whack. If you include your browser & OS information, it’ll help tremendously to duplicate problems. |

I fixed the playback for you. See httpd.conf in /etc/apache2 at the top. Added 2 HTTPS regex paterns as valid referers. |

When moving to HTTPS I had also a problem with the node.js sites. There was no remedy to be found on time, causing me to switch back to http as I did not want to site to be down too long. Samples and Acapella’s are hosted in those node.js containers. They are now broken with a “not found message” when you click on the Acapellas and Samples tab. |
.
Yes, I would be very interested in making contact with any nodeJS people who can help bring dig back to life. Getting CORS errors despite the headers (I’m almost certain) being correct on the API end.
As far as I can tell, the dig nodeJS hasn’t even logged anything since 2017, so hard to troubleshoot. |

first and foremost, thank you Matt for doing what was deemed impossible — getting https on ccmixter despite docker. you ROCK.
Susan and I happen to be together! we’ve tested streaming, downloaded, embedded tags, recommending and reviewing on Mac in Chrome — all works perfectly. noted links to images likely hosted on http aren’t painting. will email screen shot. cool to see you link pells and samples tabs back to old interface. not many fans of the beta site (though i do like its search for bmp samples and by tag functionality) ccmixter favicon is missing (likely also hosted and card-coded to http) playlists URL is broken: http://beta.ccmixter.org/pl... for dig http://dig.ccmixter.org/ the home page loads but any navigation breaks the site, so no functionality. i know you’ve spent at least 5-6 hours on this so far, we are all so very grateful. peace! |

Great. If someone has an upload ready, it would be awesome to hear that those also work perfectly. I’ve hidden the beta stuff. Likely it will come back to life when that subdomain is also behind HTTPS |

ccmixter with https - a Dream came true. (Sorry, had to link this song. It fitted perfectly. ;)
Thanks Sjef for making this possible. If we ever meet in real life, the first drinks is on me. |

Quote: SnowflakeSjef has done a lot for us and helped Matt with a couple of hiccups — but it was Matt (mwic) who put in hours and hours of research and over 12 hours of work yesterday to make SSL happen.
Then praise to Matt, too. :) |

Thank you for all you’ve done and are doing to make SSL work, mwic. And thanks for fixing playback, cube3.
Firefox on Windows 10 is showing ‘Connection not secure’ - Parts of this page are not secure (such as images). Is there anyone in the community who knows how to inspect pages and can help find what is causing this? |
.
FYI, Chrome and Microsoft Edge (on Windows 10) are both showing that the connection is secure.

It looks like images hosted on tunetrack might be the issue, as tunetrack is not https… ?

Windows 10, Chrome 111.0.5563.65, the playlist tab in artist pages are directing to the beta.ccmixter.org site and saying page not found.
|
.
This is also the case on Windows 10, Firefox.

The beta interface works again, if you go into it through a sorta-weird path:

Thank you so much for the work that has gone into improving the website!
I see that a lot of issues have been identified and resolved, and the only one that I’ve noticed is the limit to uploads. Is there a current limit to how many submissions can be uploaded? I’ve only uploaded 2 samples in the past week, but I am unable to upload any other file type. Please understand that this is not a complaint, I just want to know when I can upload a new remix. Thank you again, everyone :) Kind regards, Apoxode |

Is there any chance of getting beta.ccmixter.org running again, it was much easier to find samples?
|
.
We think there is a fairly simple fix involving routing in the React/NodeJS frontend. Unfortunately, I don’t personally use these technologies much, so there is an open call for help here
We need a troubleshooter |
|
.
I think we’re more-or-less good now. You have to get into beta in kind of a weird way. Start here:
http://beta.ccmixter.org/forum Then clicking on the top-right navigation items should get you to the working apps. |

As of yesterday(?) new uploads aren’t opening. It seems like they’re uploading but not publishing. They’re listed in the New Uploads list but when you click on one it only opens a blank page with the title at top.

Can you provide a link to the page(s) you’re speaking of? |

Thanks for the info.
I’m not sure why, but these uploads did not get the “license” field populated when they went in. There doesn’t appear to be a way to modify the license after adding an upload, so if you let me know what license(s) they are supposed to have, I can update them for you. I have checked, and no other uploads from the last several days had this issue. Do you recall anything unusual happening during the process? Thanks again. The upload process seemed to go smoothly, didn’t notice anything unusual.
As I understand it that license field is normally auto filled according to whichever sample used has the most restrictive license? I can tell you that of the samples I used for https://ccmixter.org/files/speck/66247 two had Attribution Non-Commercial 3.0 and one had Attribution Non-Commercial 4.0. (Maybe the new 4.0 designation doesn’t yet play well with the system?) So whichever one of those you would deem appropriate. I don’t know what samples Septahelix used in his uploads though. |
|
.
Yeah, looks like something in the code is (sometimes) not picking up the 4.0 settings .. I’ve set Unfurled Absence to noncommercial 4.
https://ccmixter.org/files/septahelix/66247 Let me know if it happens again. |

I’m still not getting notifications. Wondering if it has anything to do with the case sensitive naming thing. I log in as Speck, it says logged in as speck.
