tempo validation after upload

Hi ccmixter,

Great site, thank you - looking forward to being part of the community…

I just uploaded some non-loop samples and I entered ‘n/a’ in the tempo box. The sample zip was >4MB so it took some time (I left my computer for a while) - I came back and it told me I had to choose a numeric tempo between 10 and 200 (or whatever). I then had to do the whole upload again and set a dummy tempo (125). Could you use javascript to test the tempo field, rather than the server-side script? That would save wasted uploads. Also, a value of 0 or -1 would be useful for non loop samples.

thanks a lot,

Rev. Ken Cabal.

thanks rev,

yea, that was kind of cruel, sorry about that.

OK, the submit no longer rejects invalid BPM.

(client side validation will be later)
