What I really would like is to divide the ‘uploads’-tab on our profile pages in three new tabs: Remixes, Samples and A Capellas. Main reason is that I think it’ll make it easier to find interesting sources. Second, it makes it easier to share your content. I can imagine you want to share your remixes, but not your samples. Or the other way around. Third: If remixes, samples and pellas were separated in the profile section, I would upload samples. Now I don’t, because I use the uploads-tab as a showcase for my remixes. What do you think?

If you want to share URLs to your music you can:

1. On your profile page click on “Uploads” if you’re not already there

2. There is a little ‘Edit Tags’ button on the top right side. Click on that.

3. Click on the tags you want to filter on (like ‘remix’)

4. Click on ‘See Results’ (the screen will refresh)

5. Copy the address from the browser to where ever you want to put it.

Is there a possibility or can there be in the future to use tags to exclude things out of the results. As example let’s say I’m looking for drumloops but I don’t want d’n’b related loops. Instead of selecting all other styles there would be an option exclude d’n’b.

put a minus (‘-‘) sign in front of the tag. To show every upload WITHOUT classical tag:

/people/geertveneklaas/-classical

use a comma to combine them. To show every upload without classical tag and WITH melody

people/geertveneklaas/-classical,melody

including multiple minus signs. To show every upload without classical tag and WITHOUT melody

people/geertveneklaas/-classical,-melody

this is great I wish I knew this before I started my secret mixter of MC Jack. Would have saved me some time browsing through his cool music vocals.

I have tried the same with the samples browse window but that didn’t work. Is there another way to exclude samples there??

yea, sry, I don’t remember

at any time you can drop to the the raw query api (which this is all based on)

for example for samples from mcjack excluding dnb:

api/query?reqtags=sample&tags=-dnb&u=mcjackinthebox
