forgive me if this is addressed somewhere… i can’t seem to find it.

i’m confused about what to call things when i upload them. for example, if i download a drum track and add something to it, does it become an original song and are the parts i made considered samples? thanks.

You have 3 choises:

Submit a Remix
This is when you upload a song where you use samples that require atribution. If the drum track you used was made by a fellow mixter, select this one.

Submit A Song
This is when you upload a song where you made everything, or you used samples that don’t require attribution. If the drum track you used was public domain, or otherwise royalty (and attribution) free, select this one.

Submit Samples
This is for uploading single instrument tracks from your song; a guitar track, vocals, a bass loop, etc. (You can also upload pre-cut loops from a song, with multiple instruments, but they might not be as useful as single instruments.)
