Hello,

I am trying to upload multiple samples for a remix pack for one of my own songs. However, I get the following error.

“There was error in the file format
File type is not allowed
Unknown pseudo-format”

I am trying to upload my files in .AIF format. Is that not allowed? Is there a preferred format for upload? I see some file types listed on the radio box including “au”. What is that?

ccMixter doesn’t support uploads of uncompressed audio such as WAV’s or AIF’s

You can still get your tracks on ccMixter in full quality by uploading in the FLAC format however: http://flac.sourceforge.net/

ccMixter also supports MP3’s, OGG, MIDI, and ZIP files.

AU is a an older sound format: http://en.wikipedia.org/wik... analogous to wav

xACT is my favorite program for converting .aiff or .wav to .flac, and vice versa (for Mac).

like colab, i archive and upload a zipfile of my stems (in FLAC) — .flac files are significantly smaller in size. :)
