The very pretty keyboard intro with the whispered vox is nice.
Then the vocals pick up and they work very well (with the delay effects fitting just right). The way the little backing deep drone-ish thing comes in subtly behind the melody is cool. This is a lovely downtempo piece. I like the way the vocals “fit” into the mix so beautifully. I like that you put a pause in around 1:50. The drum beat is cool, although a different drum sound might have been cooler—maybe like a soft brush cymbal thing.

This is download-worthy, sophisticated downtempo. At extro, I think that the music should neatly fade out before one vox or the other says that last phrase.

Very well done. I always wish I could do what you do, but I’m glad as well that I can listen to what you do.

My first instinct for this after I decided to build on the piano was to try for something dark. But dark isn’t something that comes easy for me.

I wish someone would come up with an ambient background sample pack at 57 BPMs so I could layer them in the background. hint hint. ; )

The nice thing about ambient backgrounds is that bpm is not that important. It’s been a while since I built a good ambient pack, and maybe it’s time to build a new one. I’ll bet I can even take that fellow Teru’s tracks and sample them into dark ambient pads, given a little time and a little imagination. The “Evil Teru” ambient pack sounds like fun to me.

Great hypnotic harp riff (makes me think of kora music from Mali) - gives the whole thing an intense quality.

Just great!

And very fine works on the vocals (I compared it with the original)

Always so subtle, always so sweet, always so nice. You must be a subtle, sweet and nice guy. I like your work and your way to think your work.

Very cool mix.

But.. The drum beat is cool, although a different drum sound might have been cooler—maybe like a soft brush cymbal thing. I agree with G. on the snare.
Other than that very sweet.

Hey….I really like this. The vocals are showcased beautifully. I like the contrast between the what’s sung and what’s whispered. And the space that you give the singer.

Really nice indeed! Very easy on the ears. Who needs compressors anyway! :-)

If a piece of music gives me pictures its working for me.

Helicopter shot follows detectives car out of some snowy northern city, dissolving into same car still seen from above now passing thru different landscapes on its way to the southern delta to solve a mystery murder case. Opening credits supered over.

Dissolve to arrival at old wooden fishing store on the dock as the music fades.
