It kind of reminds me of Dee-lite playing at a bar post-apocalypse. And it doesn’t get much better than that :)
The breakdown right about the halfway mark (with the dramatic strings) is incredibly cool. Very well played there. Cheers! Another beautiful piece my friend! |
.
Thanks J.! lol - yeah post apocalyptic, alright! I’m all mad max’d out now :-)

This is absolutely terrific.
I think your musical skill makes you very well suited to do a mashup because you’ve used the samples carefully and to great effect. Yeah. This is great. Nice job. |
.
Thanks, dear fellow Stella connoisseur! This note from you is much appreciated, because you’re one of the people who has much more of a sense for this kind of music than I do.
This made me have to live with a few more experimental melody/chord matchings than usual for me. When the mashup content is chosen by the objective to have pre-determined sample contributors, rather than easy musical (scale, groove and BPM) fit, things are bit harder to control. :-) |

…and this my friend, is why you will never be out of a job! A lot of mash ups are cool, and interesting, and fun to listen to and what not, but you made yours sound like a real song. You have a commitment to structure and sound that invariably leads to a great sounding track. Fantastic!

.
Thanks SJ! Especially for phrasing it as “commitment” rather than “being committed”. :-)

This is how they mash it up, on MARS… awesome and crazed.

.
Thanks KT!
In the movie version Sigorney Weaver will play Kaer Trouz battling evil monsters from outer space! |

hey spin, i was doing Kaer Trouz remix, but i try to upload it 5 times and would not upload, then i notice it was to large of a file to upload, so i had to lower the bit rate and re-down mix it, but during this time i was very busy, my car timing belt broke, my roland keyboard went out, had to ship to Los angeles from north carolina, and i could not figure out why that remix would not upload. a bad week, had this song done in one day, and been sitting on it for 2weeks

Your modesty is all part of your undeniable charm, Mr Spin, but you have done such a fantastic job here. It’s not a mash up; it’s a highly accomplished, original and stylish creation. xxxx

oh CB! You’re really intent on making me blush, aren’t you? Thanks for your generous words!

There had been a bunch of uploads in the last days, especially for the secret mixter_09 project.
I surely mised some and also this one here. Mashup!? I haven_t heard the original samples, but I am with our swedish friend, you managed it to put them together as there were composed by only one person. What I like especially here is, that you let enough space for each part to get an “airy” remix. But I do not wonder about that since you are living at the west pacific coast with a constant fresh breeze around in your nose! :-) |
.
Thank you so much, TJ. Yes, I like the Pacific Coast air very much. :-)
The original samples were from quite different musical neighborhoods, that’s why this mash-up was quite challenging and ended up having quite a few more dissonances, than I usually let myself get away with. :-) |

Great job! Taking in consideration U had to work with 4 differentes sources of material… IM impressed..Really i am!
|
.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Wellman! - 4 sources in 12 hours was quite a challenge to my usual remixing timeframe, which more typically is 1 source over 2-3 weeks! :-)

I’m rocking in my chair like a deranged fool right now. This mix has everything, a funky vibe, elements of dark mystery and those haunting vocals from Kaer.
An interesting and very diverse mix. Coolio |
.
lol thanks! - I felt like a deranged remixer when putting this one together!

Cool. I like that things in this mix are either hard foreground, or hard background!
|
.
thanks AB! As my most experimental piece yet, I broke with many of my own remixing traditions. This was of course, because the aim was to assemble a bit of a musical Frankenstein, sutures and all!
