Beautiful! Stirring! The intro “Ooo” is just so perfect. This is so powerful. I can imagine this remixed in so many ways and yet, your piano version is instantly classic. Well done!!! (Slow clapping and standing ovation!)

This brought a tear to my eye. I’m not worthy, but I’m definitely working on a remix of this one - you’ve brought me out of retirement.
On the technical side - You manage to bring emotion, nuance, and strength to a pretty impressive vocal range. My personal taste is for less vibrato most of the time, but maybe I’m weird. As this is an American song, I’m thinking about arranging with strictly American instruments - Wikipedia tells me this would include the autoharp, banjo, electric guitar/bass, ukulele (does that count?) and kazoo (among others)… we’ll see. |

Absolutely beautiful. I’m reminded of Louis Armstrong’s spoken introduction to What A Wonderful World wherein he answers those who would say ‘how can you say that?’ with “what a wonderful world it could be”.

What a beautiful song! I haven’t been overwhelmed by a song like this for a long time. The only bad thing is that I can’t imagine a better version of the song than the one you already did. But I’ll give it a try anyway ;-)

d’groovy gospel feel
They come to America Was looking to create some gospel and ran across your groove. Totally missed this two years ago. Interesting take on guttural voice in the intro. Had to preserve that. |
